TAKALAR, July 27, 2026 – The Takalar Regency Government, together with Kaizen Collaborative Impact, has initiated a strategic collaboration to strengthen social protection and enhance the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Takalar Regency.
This collaboration follows up on the directive of the Regent of Takalar to expand the coverage of BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, especially for vulnerable groups, the extreme poor, informal sector workers, and micro-entrepreneurs who have not yet gained adequate access to protection.
Through this partnership, the Takalar Regency Government and Kaizen will develop a series of programs that integrate data collection, social security education, and digital skills and artificial intelligence training for MSME actors.
From Data to Targeted Programs
In the initial phase, the Takalar Regency Government, through relevant agencies, will conduct regional coordination and support the collection and validation of data on MSME entrepreneurs across all urban villages and villages.
This data will then be processed and jointly analyzed to map out the groups most in need of support. The results will serve as the basis for designing social protection and empowerment programs tailored to the actual conditions of the community.
This approach is expected to help the local government deliver more targeted programs, while ensuring that education and mentoring are not provided uniformly but are adapted to the needs of each group of MSME entrepreneurs.
Digital and AI Training Tailored to MSME Needs
Once participant needs are mapped, Kaizen will deliver training sessions through the AIM ASEAN program, or AI for MSME Advancement in ASEAN.
The training will be designed with a practical, light, and relevant approach to the daily lives of MSME entrepreneurs. Participants will be introduced to the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence to assist with basic financial reporting, marketing, creating promotional content, understanding customers, conducting market research, improving services, and making business operations more efficient.
Kodaeral VI Makassar Supports the Expansion of AI Education and Kaizen Digital Literacy in Eastern Indonesia
A meeting with the Takalar Regency Government discussed the development of AIM ASEAN and further collaboration opportunities in artificial intelligence education and digital fraud prevention.
In its implementation, the Takalar Regency Government can also provide education on the benefits of and access to BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Thus, MSME entrepreneurs will not only gain knowledge to develop their businesses but also understand the importance of health and safety protection at work.
Encouraging Takalar MSMEs to Grow More Safely and Empowered
Through this collaboration, the Takalar Regency Government and Kaizen aim to ensure that digital transformation reaches the village level and touches all MSME entrepreneurs who have previously received little mentoring.
This program is expected to be an initial step toward building a more inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable informal sector ecosystem, enabling MSME entrepreneurs in Takalar to grow with improved quality and quantity as they face local and global markets.
