A meeting with the Takalar Regency Government discussed the development of AIM ASEAN and further collaboration opportunities in artificial intelligence education and digital fraud prevention.
MAKASSAR, July 28, 2026 – Kaizen Collaborative Impact held a strategic meeting with the Indonesian Navy Regional Command VI Makassar and the Takalar Regency Government to discuss the progress of ongoing digital education programs and opportunities for their expansion in Eastern Indonesia.
The meeting, held at the Kodaeral VI Makassar Headquarters, was attended by the Commander of Kodaeral VI Makassar, Rear Admiral Andi Abdul Aziz, S.H., M.M., and the Regent of Takalar, Ir. H. Mohammad Firdaus Daeng Manye, M.M.
During the meeting, Kaizen presented the progress of AIM ASEAN, or AI for MSME Advancement in ASEAN, an initiative program of the ASEAN Foundation with support from Google.org that helps MSME entrepreneurs understand and utilize artificial intelligence wisely and responsibly in their business activities.
Over approximately seven months of implementation in Takalar Regency, AIM ASEAN has reached more than 3,000 MSME actors spread across 110 villages and urban communities.
Various educational sessions have been conducted to introduce the use of digital technology and assist business owners in content creation, market research, customer service, marketing, and more efficient business activity management.
Following this series of training, the program is now entering an advanced phase to strengthen mapping and provide deeper mentoring for MSME entrepreneurs in each sub-district.
The Takalar Regency Government, together with Kaizen Collaborative Impact, will encourage the updating of business information, help improve the visibility of MSMEs in Google searches, and ensure business readiness, starting from basic aspects such as preparing business financial reports, for which they will receive training in the next program stages.
This process is carried out through coordination with relevant agencies down to the sub-district, village, and urban community levels. The information obtained can also be used to design training that is increasingly tailored to the specific needs of each business category. This process also supports the local government's agenda to expand BPJS Health and BPJS Employment protection for the informal sector in a more targeted manner.

The Commander of Kodaeral VI Makassar expressed appreciation for the implementation of the Kaizen Collaborative Impact program with the Takalar Regency Government and supported efforts to expand digital education that provides direct benefits to communities in Eastern Indonesia.
This support opens opportunities for new collaborations within the Kodaeral VI Makassar environment, including the provision of education for Indonesian Navy personnel and the extended Kodaeral family, not excluding retirees.
The planned materials will cover not only the introduction and use of AI but also the principles of ethics, security, and responsibility in utilizing technology. It is expected that all members of the community can understand how to use AI technology productively without neglecting the risks of information misuse or personal data protection.
In addition to AI Ready ASEAN and AIM ASEAN, the meeting also discussed digital fraud prevention education programs to be developed through SCAM Ready ASEAN. This program is aimed at increasing public awareness of the increasingly prevalent modes of digital fraud, especially for more vulnerable groups such as the elderly, retirees, MSME entrepreneurs, students, and families.
This meeting is part of Kaizen's efforts to build cross-sector collaboration between local governments, defense institutions, and community groups.
Through the support of Kodaeral VI Makassar and the Takalar Regency Government, digital literacy programs are expected to reach more people with a practical, inclusive approach that is close to daily activities.
This collaboration also affirms that digital transformation is not just about introducing new technology. More than that, technology serves as a tool that helps people work more productively, develop their businesses, protect themselves from digital risks, and improve business quality sustainably.

Continuing the success of the first session, Kaizen Collaborative Impact held the second free online webinar of the #NgertiDigital program: AI Productivity for Educators on Saturday, June 20, 2026. This bimonthly program series is fully committed to assisting teachers in becoming more digitally proficient for teaching efficiency. The second installment of the webinar was themed "Learn Smarter: Transform Learning Resources into Interactive Classrooms with NotebookLM." This session was led directly by technology education expert Rizki Ayu Febriana, Chief Learning Officer of Kaizen Room.
